The load lock entry chamber, located in the analysis chamber, is a small cylindrical chamber that may be independently evacuated. The load lock chamber contains a ten-slot magazine that maintains 75 mm (3-inch) diameter wafers in their respective molybdenum cassettes. The chamber may be quickly pressurized for removal of the magazine and subsequent substrate introduction and extraction.
