28 | A Daisy in Return

summer came

and with it a sunny day

i shoveled my grave

seven by six by three

and crawled in

people walking by

quickly replaced the grave

with earth i removed

spring came the next year

with it a stormy day

a rib of mine pushed a daisy

up to the air above

people walking by

stomped the lonely flower

the world died
